The former USC Trojan saw an uptick in his game this past season that paid huge dividends for both him and the Yellow Jackets as a whole who averaged 74.9 points per game offensively this season. Usher returning is a huge win for the program off and on the court as he should once again be a top scoring option for the Yellow Jackets next season. He also averaged 4.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. Usher this past season for the Jackets played in all 26 games for the Yellow Jackets and averaged for the Yellow Jackets and averaged 11.6 points per contest while shooting 50% from the field including 61.4% from inside the perimeter. Junior guard Michael Devoe has declared for the NBA Draft but is keeping his eligibility as he awaits to see how he is graded by NBA scouts. He’s the first one to announce he’s returning while they still await decisions from senior guard Jose Alvarado and senior forward Moses Wright.

Usher is one of four key Georgia Tech men’s basketball standouts that the program was awaiting on decisions for regarding next season.
